Dr. Nasir Idris, governor of Kebbi State, has pledged that his people and the government will not give in to bandit attacks but will instead fight back against the threat they pose.
Governor Idris made a bold promise to root out criminals from the state in the near future during an emergency security meeting he called to strengthen the security infrastructure.
The gathering, which took place at Birnin Kebbi’s Government House, sought to enhance cooperation in the face of new security threats and the development of long-term responses to them.
Aware of the recent attacks in certain areas of the state, Governor Idris conveyed his profound worry and underlined the administration’s resolve to do all in its power to reduce insecurity and guarantee that every citizen “sleeps with both eyes closed.”
No one discovered to be an informant will be spared or tolerated by my administration. He assured everyone that those responsible would be held accountable and that justice would be done.
The governor expressed his admiration for the state’s security agencies, saying that their work has been important in preserving peace and harmony.
I beg every citizen to keep helping the police and other security services out by giving them reliable information. People shouldn’t be coy; they should be forthright,” he emphasised.
His Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ahmed Idris, sent a statement to the media outlining the governor’s stance against the terrorist acts.
In response to recent bandit attacks in Kebbi, Governor Idris has called an emergency security conference. Individuals with disabilities and their advocates are requesting that assistive equipment be made more affordable nationwide in Nigeria.
