The party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is President Bola Tinubu’s main rival, according to ADC chieftain Dele Momodu, who made the statement on Monday.
Atiku and President Tinubu will face off in the 2027 presidential election, according to Momodu, who emphasised that it is a titanic struggle.
In an X post, Momodu demanded that the ADC adapt its electoral tactics to the changing political landscape.
Reconciliation, reorientation, and reconstruction are necessary, according to the former presidential contender.
He mentioned that President Bola Tinubu and his main opponent, Atiku Abubakar, are set to have a fierce battle in the 2027 presidential election. The titans’ clash is sure to be epic. Hopefully, a third force will emerge, similar to 2023, but lacking the necessary firepower and determination to dethrone and destroy the two seasoned leaders.
That is why it is critical and pressing for our beloved ADC to break with the past and present, unite conservatives and cosmopolitans, and bring together seasoned politicians and government technocrats.
Assuring a vibrant blend, this duo is the best combination. A game fuelled by religious and racial animosity will bring the North and the South back together.
We must not permit the current volatile emotions and complete anarchy to persist. We should all prepare to be consumed by it. We must roll back the clock to the days of strong ideologies, powerful individuals, and sturdy beliefs.
“Our forefathers, including Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, The Sardauna Sir Ahmadu Bello, and many more, did their utmost, imperfect as they may have been. In the present day, we have entirely strayed from the traditions they passed on to us.
Gansterism as a political ideology has grown into an intolerably cancerous tumour in our country. We require a sturdy bridge like this one to connect the North and the South. Before it’s too late, we need to do something.
