Poster depicting Dele Momodu as Atiku’s running partner in 2027 goes viral

Dele Momodu, a politician and publisher, has posted a campaign poster on social media depicting himself as Atiku Abubakar’s running mate in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.

On Monday, Momodu shared the photo on Facebook with a message that he hoped would inspire a reorientation and rebuilding of the country.

He said that President Bola Tinubu and his main opponent, Atiku Abubakar, would probably face off in the 2027 presidential election.

A new political strategy, says Momodu, would see the African Democratic Congress (ADC) unite the party’s elder and younger leaders, as well as its seasoned politicians and technocrats.

The clash of the Tian will undoubtedly take place. He expressed hope that a third group would emerge, similar to what happened in 2023, but warned that it lacked the firepower and determination to dethrone the two veteran politicians.

A more united nation, he said, could better handle the rising political and social conflicts in the country.

In addition, the editor of Ovation magazine warned that the present problems in Nigeria would get worse if the country’s political leaders did nothing to improve communication and cooperation between the north and south.

Following in the footsteps of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir Ahmadu Bello, and Chief Obafemi Awolowo—three of Nigeria’s founding fathers—he argued for a return to leadership and politics centred on issues.
