According to police, a diver in Western Australia was attacked by a “serious” shark on Saturday, causing critical injuries.
According to paramedic services and the Western Australian government, a shark measuring 4.5 meters (15 feet) attacked a guy in his 30s near Michaelmas Island, which is southeast of Perth.
This is the third deadly shark attack in Australia this year; the man’s death occurred two weeks ago in northern Queensland state.
Sharks’ migration patterns are changing due to warmer oceans and more people swimming in them, according to Australian experts. This could explain why there has been an uptick in attacks.
